About the position

At Gava Cardiology, geriatric patients are cared for with the possibility of heart monitoring. Our mission is to provide continued care and treatment of chronic diseases during an acute deterioration as well as pre- and post-operative care after procedures such as angiography. We also initiate rehabilitation/mobilization for our patients and have a close collaboration with external geriatrics for continued rehabilitation.

As a nurse with us, you will be responsible, together with nursing assistants, for the care of assigned patients and for the nurse's medical tasks. The work is varied and includes, for example, telemetry monitoring, central lines, and drainage. You will work within a high level of care with a strong focus on acute care for fragile elderly patients.

The position is a permanent employment. Working hours are scheduled for nights and weekends with start date according to agreement.

• has a genuine interest in working with acute care and nursing of fragile elderly patients, including rehabilitation and mobilization after surgical procedures

• takes responsibility for your tasks, structures your work methods, and drives processes forward, especially in situations that require careful monitoring and medical decisions
• collaborates well with others and contributes to an inclusive work environment, where you listen and communicate clearly while contributing to the team's development
• makes correct priorities, manages complex medical information, and shows good judgment in acute and unpredictable situations
• sees the whole in the patient's care needs and understands the importance of collaboration with other actors, such as external geriatrics, to ensure the best possible rehabilitation and continued efforts.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Licensed nurse
• Previous experience in acute care
• Previous experience in cardiology
• Previous experience in elderly care.
